Anyone that has visited a show room, I was told I had to put a 50% deposit down in order to view a specific diamond. Anyone else get told that?? I’ve had nothing but problems with Brilliant Earth, I requested an ASET… PAID to have the diamond put on hold, two week later no ASET and was told that the diamond wasn’t put on hold and sold.

Not my experience, but I read somewhere- I think reddit- that a stone someone had purchased was sold to another person without them being told. I think that a deposit being required to hold a diamond is pretty standard. That said, if you’re having a hard time with any company, I think you should base your decision to continue a relationship off this and look elsewhere.
My fiance had a very smooth experiencce with BE, but we only dealt with them online. I have heard that they are difficult to deal with when it comes to repairs and such, but I found a local jeweler if I ever need to have work done. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of shipping my ring across the country.

That is not true actually.

pocketfullofsunshine : Hi there. A little late to this board but if you haven’t purchased your ring yet I will say this…I LOVE LOVE LOVE my diamond from Brilliant Earth but I’m not a fan of the setting. It seems a bit too ‘dainty’ to safely hold my stone in the long run.

My Boyfriend bought my engagement ring from Brilliant Earth on Saturday (shhh!) and I’m desperately waiting to see this beauty in person! I am dying since I cannot try it on in person or anything, but the reviews were really good, so having faith!
