I live in SF and BE was my first stop in looking for a ring. They’re really nice at there! They let me choose as many settings as I wanted to try out and take photos. Here are a couple:

I ended up going the custom route with a ring from another shop, also in SF, called D&H Sustainable Jewleres. Would highly recommend both shops! There are also a ton of ring shops in the SF diamond district, but my experience at those wasn’t as good.

Just read a comment about the lack of gemstone options- this was my experience as well. I loved the sapphires online but was underwhelmed with what we saw in person. Assuming you want a diamond or moissanite though, I think it should be fine! Let me know if you want other rec’s for SF options.

We live in the UK so didn’t visit the showroom but we had amazing service from them – got both my engagement and wedding ring from them. Over two years on I still think I stare at them every day haha.

We got my ering from Brilliant Earth plus it was a sapphire. It was funny… we flew to LA to see the rings in person but turned out my now DH had already bought my ring beforehand (we talked extensively about what I wanted so I was 99% sure at that point) and secretly brought it along so I’d try it among the ones I was interested in.  He set it up with BE before too but apparently the guy we had was nearly oblivious and my DH had to get his attention to give him the ring while I was looking at the cases. Luckily I did love my ring out of the rest (though I didn’t know it!) and the rest was history 🙂

I love my BE engagement ring! My experience with the showroom was great too – everyone was super nice and down-to-earth. During my appointment the salesperson showed my fiancee and I different stones with different qualities to give us a feel and she even suggested places to cut cost if necessary. It was so helpful. My biggest tip is don’t be afraid to ask questions! Everyone there is totally non-judgmental and ready to help.

I ended up with the Catalina Solitaire setting, and my fiancee has the Catalina 3-Stone setting. I’ve included a few pictures of my ring (sorry it’s a little dirty in them).

I made my appointment online and was called a few days prior to my appointment to get a better idea of what im looking for, settings I’m interested in and my budget for stones.

At the appointment I was able to look at AS MANY rings as I liked all at one time. Almost all were White Gold however. I have to agree with the others though, they lacked variety of stones to show me. All the diamonds they showed me was in the DEF range, and nothing lower than VS2 for clarity. They didnt have anything lower grade to show me. They had ONE moissanite to show me, a C&C F1 oval cut. Everyone knows the oval C&C cut is the worst cut 🙁 so that was not a useful comparison.

However, if youre looking for comparing settings it’s a great place to stop by. Be very transparent in the initial call about budget or else they wont have stones prepared.
