Has anyone read the book “Bringing up Bebe”? I’m in the middle of it and I”m loving it!! It’s about how French children differ from American children and why. It’s so fascinating and is giving me so many pointers for how to raise my little nugget when he/she arrives!

I read it. I also loved it. I was totally scared by the reviews that this book was wackadoodle, but it’s excellent.

It was an excellent book. I made my Mom read it and said without knowing she actually did a lot of the advice with my sister and I.

i thought it was great. you can take some of the more extreme ideas out and keep some common sense things or just read it for a different perspective.

I am about to start it. It was recommended after I read French Kids Eat Everything which was an amazing look at the way we raise kids to see food in the US, and why French kids have such a different look on food and later on obesity and eating disorders. If you get a chance I would highly recommed reading it too.

Excellent. I have been trying to find the study on infant sleep she mentioned, but no luck. Does anyone else know where to find it?

@nikkialys: Thanks for the reccomendation! Not having a picky eater is a BIG deal to my husband and I. We’re both very adventerous eaters and see our neice and nephew barely eat anything and it drives us nuts. I can’t wait to read this one!
