We’re going with Dreamlife. I don’t know if they’re dodgy, but they’re pretty cheap. We don’t get to meet our photographer until the engagement shoot which they refuse to stage for us until 2 months before the wedding (unless we demand it earlier).

If I had unlimited money I’d definately go with a boutique photographer.

I haven’t used him, nor do I know of anyone who has, but I love looking through his pics so I thought I’d at least show you his website – http://www.ryderevansphotography.com.au/

Not sure if his style is what you are after at all and I don’t know prices so this probably isn’t very helpful. But! he’s in Brisbane and I do love his work.

@princessggg:  A bit of both. Our photos did turn out lovely, but it really isn’t our style, and not what we want our wedding photos to look like. BUT, if you like his work, he is a lovely person, who is very accomidating. We just felt we needed more direction and we didn’t feel comfortable at all… BUT if you were more confident infront of a camera, he would be a great choice.

So, it is a recomendation with some warnings?

We are using http://www.kirkandtreens.com/ who are based on the sunny coast but they will travel. It’s a husband and wife team and they are amazing people – so easy to get along with and just really good at making you feel comfortable. We’re organising our engagement shoot soon i’m so excited to hang out with them again and get some beautiful pictures!

We also considered Milque and Ryder Evans as well and I lust over Jona Peterson!

I’m a bit late to the party but we are using Red Apple Photography. Price is under $3k for 8 hours with 2 photographers, an engagement shoot and 10 prints.

Susan is super nice too!
