So after looking at endless pictures on WeddingBee, I’m getting the impression that British brides tend to be a little more understated than our US counterparts when it comes to engagement rings and our diamond size! I’ve held off plastering my pictures everywhere but I’m just so damn in love with the thing that I have to show it off! (please excuse the sneeky work snap) Show me yours too ladies…

I actually posted a similar thread a couple of months ago, British rings do seem to be smaller.
Here’s mine. It’s a little 020ct diamond. I love it so much.

Yup we are more understated and seem more drawn to diamonds. I had never heard of lab grown diamonds before the bee. I also found diamonds to be less expensive in the US. I’ve just realised I’ve not got my ring on today …oops!!

Likewise, I had no idea that manufactured diamonds exsisted…! I forgot my ring at home last week for a day and felt a little sad all day because of it 🙁 I hope you have a happy reunion tonight!!

I’m from Argentina but live in the UK and my Fiance is English.

I’m not from the UK, but your ring is very similar to mine! It’s not something usually seen here in the States.
It’s personal favorite style of ring (I asked Fiance for that particular cut). So classic and elegant, plus pairs well with any wedding band!

I got a little down about my ring when I first joined the bee as all the rings are so huge and sparkly but I love my ring! British are much less in to rings as well I think. I’ve never met someone who’s upgraded their ring or anything like that.

I’ve always loved your ring. If a crazy lady on the tube ever grabs your hand and says “oooh there it is!” you’ll know it’s me.
