British bee, but I will be marrying an American and moving out there. I definitely noticed british rings seem smaller. Even though my ring isn’t huge compared to other bee’s, it does seem to be a lot bigger than others in my English social group – however I really love that it’s a moissanite because telling people how affordable and awesome the stone is makes me feel less flashy than if they thought it was a diamond.

Loving all these UK rings!! My entire family is from Wales so I see the rings they got engaged with, and I for one just looove the variety of rings in the UK! Here in Canada and the US it really is a lot of big solitaires and halos (mainly in certain areas more than others lol) but it seems in the UK its a lot of different colored gemstones, yellow, rose and white gold, and not as large diamonds. It’s kind of refreshing to see soooo many different styles unique to every woman!!! I love looking at all these!

Haha, glad I found this thread, after some of the mahoosive rings I’ve seen on the Bee didn’t think there’d be anywhere for me to show off mine

I’m not used to wearing rings at all so to be it’s huge lol I was even having doubts that it was too much and I should have asked for something smaller!

cubiebee:  I am not a Brittish Bride, although I did live in London on my semester abroad and wish I was.  I just want to say I love all your rings and prefer them to the ice rink rings of the US (it’s kinda ridiculous the importance we put on size over here, men aren’t a the only ones with measuring contests) Seriousl, this thread has me drooling. Thanks!

mccabetobee:  So pretty!  Is your fiance British?  I’m American with a British fiance, we might be in the same boat ๐Ÿ™‚  We’re actually going with H. Samuel because I fell in love with a ring there. But Goldsmiths has lovely diamonds!

confidenceinrain:  thank you! Nope! We are both American over here working : ) we looked at H. Samuel as well, they had some beautiful Rings but unfortunately didn’t carry my size. So I was limited to rings that could be sized down and not compromise the integrity of the diamond. And was going to have to wait weeks for it to be sized! How did you and your fiance meet if you don’t mind me asking? : )

mccabetobee:  Makes sense!  I’m a ring size N so it is really really easy to find my size ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sending you a private message so I don’t thread jack!

Debsy:  I already bought it! There was sales during christmas, so Fiance and I siezed the opportunity considering going back to the people that made my ring would cost £500+ for a custom band. image2
