I JUST (as in just 2 weeks ago!) got my new bands and today I look down admiring them (as usual in these awesome office lights) and I notice that one of the stones in my band is BROKEN! Half of it is MISSING!!!
I guess they’re going back to be redipped/soldered sooner than I planned. I’m so pissed.
Oh well – back to the old stand ins. Sigh.

and to add insult to injury – I called the jeweler and the manager (who we have always followed since buying my ring!) is MOVING to a store about an hour away. TODAY was his last day at this local store so I told him to STAY PUT and I drove there on my lunch break and showed him.
He refunded the band with the broken stone, gave me a different one and is sending it all back off so the new band can be sized and the whole set can be soldered together.
I’m SICK of ring issues – I just want to WEAR it. Is that too much to ask? LOL!!!

That sucks!! Good manager you have though at this jewelery store. I’ve dealt with multiple sales persons at my jewelery store and they all perform at different levels. Once I found my favorite girl, I only deal with her!
I hope your stand-in is fun at least 😉

@Scintillante: Well – that’s a whole different story. I do have my original wedding band I can wear, but Darling Husband had them put the .25 round stone from my mother’s engagement ring (when she was married to my dad) into a little bezel setting to use as a RH stackable ring. It was due back 2 days ago and hasn’t been seen. I’m really afraid to ask about it – but I’m going to have to. Once I have it, that will be my stand in along with my original w-band.
I also have a cute little CZ sparkly band that I wear as a stand in, too. It’s all good when it comes to jewelry! 🙂
This is my little CZ ring I love, it’s rhodium plated SS and I paid little of nothing for it but it’s adorable! I love wearing it on my RH also! 🙂
