Can you counter sue for emotional damages from the cheating as well as blackmailing? 😉

personally I would absolutely give back anything I could and tell him there is no way you’re obligated to care about resale values or not. I’d give him the necklace, buy myself a cheap phone and erase the iPhone and give it back. If he’s only paid 10 months of gym membership, I’d personally pay that back too. And make him sign something that says he received those and whatever money.

But I have no desire to hold onto gifts from exes. I’m too sentimental to keep them from especialy a cheating ex, and hate the feeling of owing or depending on someone else for something financially. As for dinners and dates, whatever. You gave him the gift of your valuable time. But anything more tangible-I’d just be want to be shed of anyway. No reason to hold onto it.

Disagree, unless he has a signed paper stating she agreed to pay back for the necklace, gym membership etc. Ridiculous, whether large or small, a gift is a gift. She should laugh in his face. Just because a manipulative dick threatens to sue doesn’t mean he has a leg to stand on, it’s laughable. And that is just what I’d do, laugh in his face.

F$#% him!!!! What a douche!!!

First of all, a GIFT is a GIFT. You don’t owe him jack because he spent money on you for a gift which is non-refundable.

Second, he CHEATED on you for a YEAR. He’s the one that owes you. You should tell him you owe him a testicle. That should get him to back off!!

Wtf!

Reading your updates, and his talk about taking it to court? Was that settled too?

Under NO circumstances do you want to tell him, text him, email him that you will pay him back for ANYTHING! That he could use as “proof” that you owe him (cuz well, you said it) in court.

You don’t need a lawyer. A court would never have you pay him back for gifts!

Tell him if he woulda kept his nasty dick in his pants you wouldn’t have broke up with him in the 1st place & he would not have felt guilted (by his OWN actions) into trying to buy your love back!!

What a dirty twat!! Just be glad you got rid of this poor excuse of a human being!!

And please don’t bother talking to or seeing this douche canoe again…

What a jackass. I hope you know that he has zero case and would be laughed at for trying to take you to court.

Block him and never speak to him again. Your life will be better for it.

Return nothing. If you return anything, he can tell a judge that you returned it because it wasn’t a gift all along. Cut all contact. Let him sue you. The judge will laugh in his foolish face. Why are you stressing about this even a little?

You really should give the gifts back. I wouldn’t even want them if I were you. Everything else should be let be.
