No, the ultrasonic wouldn’t have had anything to do with it.  Contact Moissaniteco and see what they can do.  Unless you had the ring altered in any way [ie sized by a private jeweler].  I have nothing but good things to say about Moisaniteco, but I’ve not had to use them for any repairs.  I know they cannot repair custom items-but this doesn’t seem to be the case.  Good luck! let us know how it turns out.

Is it a clean break right at the bottom? If so, it sounds like an issue with the sizing (the solder used, etc). The ultrasonic would not have “caused it” but it might have stressed a weak point.

Did they resize it, or did someone else? If it was MoCo, contact them. You will have to send it back but they do warrant their items.

By the way, they do repair their own custom items, they just won’t return/refund them. Even when you are out of warranty they will do repairs for very reasonable prices.

1.9 mm is pretty thin.  I’m wondering if the ring was resized and that put a lot of stress on that point.  If memory serves, doesn’t MoCo get their settings from Stuller (I could have sworn I read that somewhere)?

My ring is from MoissaniteCo and is only 1.5mm (although it’s gold) and I’ve never thought it was “too thin” or at risk for breaking. If you’ve had it sized at all, that would be my bet. Was it from the sale section and had to be sized before you got it? I would contact MoissaniteCo and go from there!

My mistake-I mis typed-RK is correct, they will repair custom, just not refund.
