Hi there! Before I post my issue, I want to note that I may not comment back quickly, as I’ll be away from home today, but reading replies on my phone. I really want to hear, and would greatly appreciate, advice from others.
I absolutely love my e-ring, so when we went to buy bands, i wanted something very simple. Well, we bought a very thin band with tiny diamonds. This weekend, it broke between two of the diamonds. I’d been wearing it less than a month, and have no clue when it broke. Clearly, it broke without suffering a major blow, or I would have known when it happened.
So I don’t know what to do when I go to the jewler (Kay). I WANT the ring I got married with, but I am now thinking that something so dainty is just not right for daily wear. Do you think getting it fixed would just be a terrible idea for the purpose of wearing it daily once again? I’m sort of thinking of upgrading to something more sturdy and having mine fixed to wear on special occasions. I just hoped for some insight because I assume that if I ask a sales rep for suggestions, they will pounce the moment they know I am considering an upgrade.
Also, if any of you had to not wear the ring you were given at the wedding for some reason, I’d love to hear how you dealt with it if it made you sad. I feel very sad because I just loved wearing the ring my husband put on my finger. Thank you!!
