Broken Wedding Band – What Would You Do?

  A ring that has already broken once is more inclined to break again…. you could lose the diamonds too.

I’d get it fixed for sentimental reasons and see if the ring could be reinforced- which would make it thicker.

Rings often need to be cut off due to finger swelling perhaps due to pregnancy.
Mother-In-Law was gifted a new band to wear as a wedding ring as an anniversary present.
My Dad lost his wedding ring on honeymoon and had his replacement ring blessed though its never the same as the original

That’s sad, it’s probably due to bad craftsmanship. I’d find a sturdier wedding band and your husband can still put that on your finger. After all, people update all the time.

My old wedding band was petite, and after 7 years of wear, I’d almost worn it through on bottom. Breaking between diamonds seems like a different issue entirely.

Could you work with a local jeweler to get the stones put in a new, heartier ring? That way you’ve got the sentimentality, along with a band that will stand the test of time.
