My fiance and I are having a fall wedding, and I just love mums. They are my absolute favorite fall flowers! We are having a laid back, country wedding, but its still on a Saturday night and such.
I was thinking of having the centerpieces as bronze (aka orange) football mums (of all the mums, these are my favorite color!) with the vase wrapped in burlap, and surrounding it with mason jars. However, when I mentioned this to my mom, she thought it was too casual and not formal enough. Now I’m not sure what to do.
Has anyone seen something like this before? Do you think it isn’t dressy enough for a Saturday night wedding?
Pictures of the flowers I’m thinking of using:

I have never seen it done, but I think it would be cute! would they be potted are cut? Either way I think it’s nice 🙂

@stargurl101: To be honest, I’m not sure which they would be, I’d have to talk to a florist to find out how it can be done. But thank you! I think it would be nice too 🙂

I’m having mums too! Keeping them potted, and putting the pots in my DIY glass and sheet music vases. There are so many ways you can dress them up – I love the pic shalynnmarie posted.

@shalynnmarie: I love that picture! I’ll have to show it to my mom who isn’t quite seeing what I’m seeing (probably because what I’m seeing is in my head!)
@adnama: Thank you!
@deetuned: That sounds gorgeous! I’d love to see how it all looks! I’m leaning towards cut ones right now, in mason jars, surrounded by more mason jars, with candles in them.
