I am American & just married my Englishman last month!

I had a brooch bouquet and hadn’t seen anyone ever have one in real life AND neither had my fiance’s family/friends…. EVERYONE loved it tho so I would encourage you to do it!

Our wedding colors were navy, white & gold but I didn’t want too much gold so I did a mixture of silver, white, bling & gold accents…

Here are some pix from the day – no pro ones yet Frown

We also put a little something in the program along the lines of “Kimmy’s bouquet is made of old, new & borrowed brooches and her crinoline underskirt is blue” to give people the insight into the tradition and what was up with my bouquet! lol

Basically what I’m saying is DOOOOO IT! People will love it and you will too!

and don’t be afraid to DIY cuz that’s what I did and it came out BETTER than I could have imagined!

I am just getting started on my brooch bouquet and have first decided to tackle my Bridemaids bouquets first and then do mine. Here is a pic of the brooch bouquet I want for myself

but  so far my bridesmaids bouquets are made from a callalily premade bouquet I purchased from Hobby Lobby and I attached a few brooches that I ordered from fabulousbrooch.com

@MrsPeterson86:  ah yes I did! I actually used FOUR silk white hydrangea stems I bought at michael’s and smashed them all together… some girls only use 2 but I really liked the size and symmetry involved with using 4 so I went for it!

I think I ended up using about 80 brooches total but I love love love the way it came out.

    Here’s a few better pix:

I am making mine and I started out a FB page if anyone is interested. I prefer them half flowers and pearls and crystals and just a sprinkling of brooches I think it looks very classy and elegant. I put a lot of ribbon, lace and pearl detail on the actual holder too or to match the brides dress or theme. Oh the page is called happily ever after bridal accessories x
