Here are my first stabs at my brooch bouquet and a pomander to match: http://instagram.com/p/ZJDxIcpKi6/ http://instagram.com/p/ZJDdp5JKiW/
I… don’t love the bouquet. I’m thinking of taking it apart and trying again except that I don’t know it’ll come out any better… I was thinking of using real hydrangeas for the base the day of (I really like the look of just a few brooches in real flowers) but I’m not sure I’ll have time.
Please let me know if I’m stressing over nothing or something 🙂

@imimbles: I think they both look reallly nice. Real hydrangeas will look awesome.

@imimbles: The pomander looks wonderful. the brooch bouquet…looks like you have a bug infestation on your flowers.
I think spreading out the brooches amonst the flowers in a more even, deliberate pattern (or using less brooches entirely) would help keep the bouquet from looking like it currently does:
OR you can group them more toward the center, so that they look like a jeweled blanket over your hydrangeas:

@MlleFabuleux: Haha a bug infestation 🙂 Made me smile
That first image is basically exactly what I’m going for. I think I might disassemble and try again with real flowers to see how hard that is.
Thanks for both of your opinions!
