@kariface:  My fiance and I are doing the Engaged Encounter weekend in October through the Brooklyn diocese instead of pre-cana. I’m kind of looking forward to it!

Also, St. Mary Star of the Sea is gorgeous! Congrats! We’re getting married at St. Joseph’s in Prospect Heights. ๐Ÿ™‚

@kariface:  Yep, on Pacific! I really love it. It’s an awesome community, too. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s so cool about your great grandparents… aww!

Hey, yeah, it was a Friday night and Saturday. First day was a prayer service and then preist presenting, and then a married couple speaking. Second day was more of a workshop type of thing, mini presentations by a (different than the day before) married couple and then we completed a workbook with questions and had discussions among ourselves about the workbook answers.

I got married at Our Lady of Angels in Bay Ridge.

@kariface:  Neighborhood twin! I live by Owl’s Head ๐Ÿ˜€

It was not bad, the priest was actually very entertaining, seems like he had been doing these presentations for a while, although I don’t know if you will have that same priest. There was no indoctrinating type of talk, only one short video about family planning. The topics change pretty frequently so there’s not really any getting bored. The discussion times were interesting where you share your workbook responses with your Fiance.  Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚
