I’d say dance to a song that means something to you.  If it were me and my brother, we’d totally dance to "Don’t Stop Believing" by Journey… I’m grabbing him at the reception and dancing with him to that song anyway.  Just whatever works for your relationship.

I was listening to "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac earlier today, and I thought it would make a good dad/daughter dance song.  Here’s a link to the lyrics: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/f/fleetwood+mac/landslide_20054185.html.  Every time I hear it, it makes me tear up a little because the whole message is about moving on, growing up, and experiencing life as an adult instead of a child.  Not really in your genre, but maybe it would work.

Sweet story.  Well you like 90’s music.  How about Mariah Carey’s, "Hero"?

Will you dance with both brothers who will be there or just the one?  I know your Fi has to be terrific, because I bet with three older brothers, they would beat the tar out of any boyfriend who wasn’t.

Keep us posted.

If you like Mrs. Spring’s idea of "Landslide," Smashing Pumpkins did a version of it that might work for you. Or how about "I’ll Stand By You" by the Pretenders?

Do you like country? What about Rascal Flatts, My Wish? I think it would be perfect, though the other suggestions are fab too. 🙂

What about "Forever Young" or "I’ll Stand By You"?

My husband walked his sister down the aisle – they danced to Sister by Dave Matthews Band.

Here are the lyrics:

Pass the time with you in mind
It’s a rather quiet night
Feel the ground against my back
Counting stars against the black
Thinking bout another day
Wishing I was far away
Whether they were dreams or worries
You were there with me

Sister, I hear you laugh
My heart fills full up
Keep me please
Sister, when you cry
I feel your tears running down my face
Sister, Sister keep me

I hope you always know its true
I would never make it through
We could make the sun go down
Just by walking away
Playing like we used to play
Our kingdom will never go away
Feel you beating in my chest
I’ll be dead without

Sister, I hear you laugh
My heart fills full up
Keep me please
Sister, when you cry
I feel your tears running down my face
Sister, Sister will you keep me?

I would never make it through
Hope you always know its true
You could make the heaven’s fall
Just by walking away

Sister, I hear you laugh
My heart fills full up
Keep me please
Sister, when you cry
I feel your tears running down my face
Sister, Sister keep me
