Today I’m 14 DPO and AF is due as well. Since early this morning I’ve had brown watery discharge when wiping. Nowhere else just on TP. Is this the start of AF? Usually this is something that happens at end of my AF. Could this be implantation or .. ? Any input would be helpful!

Yeah that happens to me when my AF is saying goodbye, not at the beginning, it could be implantation bleeding/spotting. It usually doesn’t last long, so if it goes away and your AF still not here, wait at least 3 days and take a test….GL 🙂

@MrsR4ever: Thanks! Have you heard how long it should last?

I had it for a day or two right around 14 DPO, a few days after I got an early BFP. I think it is formally different from implantation bleeding (which I think is 7-10 DPO if you see it at all), but light brown spotting in place of a period can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms.

@MrsJ19: I read that it can last a couple of hours on and off or up to 2 days for some (i read it at the what to expect site) and sometimes it can be a bit heavy, so that’s why its confused with AF….weird enough (and this is tmi) i just went to the loo and i am also spotting brown, iam a day early, which in all my years never happened to me), weird !!! …. best of luck girl and keep me posted.

For me, AF usually starts that way for me, progressively getting worse. I’ve had it for as long as 10 days, but I have a luteal phase defect. =/ Sorry!!!

I had implantation bleeding that lasted for 4-5 days and mimicked the very light period I get with the pill (was on the pill when I got pregnant). It’s different for everyone! Only way to know is to test.

I sometimes spot a little a day or two before AF coming on full force. HOWEVER, I also spotted a little the day before I got my BFP.
Are you charting? If your’e truly 14 DPO you should be able to test today and get a reasonable accurate result.
