We are having a brunch wedding.  The ceremony will be at 11:30am and afterwards we’ll have a brunch reception.  It’ll be over by 4pm.  At that time, the festivities are over.  😛  Bride and groom will be headed off for a nap at that point!  😛

I went to one wedding where the ceremony was at noon and then there was dancing, food, and such until about 4:30p. After all that, my Fiance and I went home to bed. ;p I hear that the bride and groom simply left that evening for their honeymoon.

My Fiance went to a mid-morning wedding with a huge brunch for friends and family afterwards. After the bride and groom had said goodbye to their family, they changed clothes, got a group of 20 of their friends together on a luxury bus, and spent all night bar hopping with their cloeset friends. My Fiance describes it as a day that began and ended with drinking.

Mostly though, I think the Bride and Groom tend to either spend the rest of the day together or to leave for their honeymoon ASAP.

We’re having our private ceremony at 11:30 and our reception starts at 2:00 We’re hoping it will be done and over with about 6 or 7 and we’ll go back to the hotel relax a little and then we’re planning a night out at a comedy club or bar with our siblings and closest friends.
