I think that sounds delicious!  And, I feel like people can be picky about breakfast food – I know I love more savory breakfast food and dislike sweet, and my parents vice versa.  The buffet sounds like it’ll have a great variety and suit everyone’s tastes!

my friend had a brunch buffet wedding. I thought it was the perfect way for her to stay in her budget. It was elegant, delish, and everyone had a great time.

I wanted to do a sunrise wedding with a brunch so badly!  I’m jealous that you’re doing it.  Enjoy!  I’m sure it’s going to be just absolutely lovely.

@crecre – OMG I am foaming at the mouth. You menu sounds divine. It definitely would have been better than the meal at my venue!

@msgthoney – a brunch is a fantastic idea. I have never attended a brunch style wedding before but with what you are planning, it sounds perfect. The best of both worlds! Oh and you can have just as much fun at an early reception. It’s all about your audience.

OK, I think I am going to go gnawl off my arm, lol!

Can I come I love breakfast!!! Do what you want. People that would judge the food are not even worth being invited.

I’m doing a brunch reception as well! We haven’t met with our caterer yet (though we have one!) but we’re thinking waffles with all sorts of fruit topping (or crepes) and bacon/sausage and eggs… So more basic breakfast stuff, but it’ll be at lunch time- so brunch ๐Ÿ˜€

Another brunch gal here ๐Ÿ™‚ I am so glad that brunch receptions have been getting talked about more around here! Obviously I think morning weddings are awesome! I have never heard that anything before 1pm is not a reception. Tell that to Meg at A Practical Wedding – her guests danced until they sweated through their clothes at her brunch reception!

Some thoughts: Do you have to have your ceremony at 10am? We are having ours at 10:30, like crebre80, and I will probably have to get up at 5:30 to get all of us ready and pictures done!

I almost think you are having too much food, but maybe your family are huge eaters. I think two kinds of salads would be plenty, and with a pig roast, I don’t even think you need the bacon and sausage! But that’s just me.

Also… just a comment: I sense some hesitation on your part, like brunch isn’t your idea of the perfect reception. I just wanted to say while I obviously think it is awesome, if its not what you want, try to find other ways to do what you DO want!
