Bees….I need advice!
We are having a brunch on Sunday morning after our reception. The brunch is being held in a beautiful conservatory (you may remember it as the location of Mrs. Tartlet’s amazing wedding) which will hopefully have views of the beautiful fall colors.
Anyways – we are struggling with what we should wear. The brunch is from 9:30-11:30 and will be buffet style and a very casual athomosphere! I originally thought it should be a “church clothing” affair, meaning no jeans essentially. I picked out a suger cute outfit with a tweed skirt and cardigan paired with flats. The more I am thinking about it, the more I feel maybe jeans and a nice sweater with heels is appropriate. Most of our guests will be leaving the brunch and headed for the airport – therefore not in dressy clothes.

Jeans and a nice sweater sound perfectly appropriate to me.
I joke about showing up to ours in a hoodie, sweat pants, and flip flops, but I really haven’t decided yet. I’m thinking maybe some comfy black pants (probably from the Chicos Travelers line. those are so versatile) and a nice sweater or top paired with ballet flats and simple earrings. Not fancy, but not underdressed, either.

I agree that most people are going to want to be in their comfy travel gear by the time Sunday a.m. rolls around, so I’d make the dress code totally casual. That doesn’t mean you can’t wear your tweed skirt, though!

@lovekiss: seriously, if I could roll downstairs in my yoga pants, a tank, zip up hoodie and some uggs I’d be thrilled!
Maybe I’ll compromise and get some cute chino’s to wear with a sweater – they are a nice middle ground! Its so hard in Michigan in the fall, it can be 80 or 60 degrees!
