@regit45: Did you steal this menu out of my head?
We keep talking about doing this basic menu except with crepes and perhaps waffles instead of french toast. Toppings on the side. Bacon. Def Bacon.
We are thinking bellini’s and a bloody mary bar…it’s popular down here in New Orleans.

I think it sounds great but like someone else said stick with regular french toast because there will be people who won’t want the fruit. Maybe you could have chicken salad on croissants or something similar for those who want the more “lunch” part of brunch. Other than that I think it looks great!

Men tend to be big eaters. How about some fried chicken and both sausage and bacon?

Bloody Mary’s are such a difficult drink to do because everyone likes theirs different. If you go with them I’d do a bar with different options. Hot sauce, pickle juice, worschetire, clam juice to make it a caeser, olives, onions. I think that’s all.
And bacon!
I like belinnis but feel they’re very similar to mamosas. I’ve seen straight up champagne served but that could get pricy. Screwdrivers are good. Sex on the beach has lots of fruit juoces in it. Oj, cranberry, vodka, peach schnapps and grenadine.

@regit45: I. Love. Brunch. I want to go to your wedding. Sounds delicious. Maybe a cranberry cocktail would work if you’re looking for another alcoholic option? If you’re really looking for something to add I love bagels too, but I think you’ve got plenty of awesome choices.

@graygodess20: To stay in our price range, we can only have one meat selection. I guess there’s the option of doing half bacon and half sausage, but then I’m afraid there wouldn’t be enough of each. I’ll probably just do bacon.
@aithinne: You’re a fellow brunch/early afternoon wedding?! Love it. What is your date?
@WhiteSnow: I’ve thought about having a couple lunch options, but I’m trying to keep it as simple and budget friendly as possible. Most everyone likes breakfast food and I’ll be sure to get the word out that that is what it’ll be.
@canuckandakiwi: Nahhhh. As I said above, just trying to keep it simple and casual. I like the idea of lighter brunch food.
@wisher558: I’m kinda liking the idea of mimosas and screwdrivers. Thanks!

@jennmariee: Aw, thanks 🙂 Bagels were an option but they would replace the muffins. Which would you prefer if you were going to a brunch reception?

Could you do build-your-own omelettes and top-your-own french toast? I am not a fan of blueberries and would prefer syrup on mine. I would also go bacon over sausages and would love some baileys or kaluhau for my coffee.

I would do a charcuterie if possible.

@regit45: I would ax the additional alcoholic beverage, BUT…
your menu sounds DELICIOUS. Oh, and I’d take bacon.

@regit45: I also recommend bacon, but mostly for the reason there are so many different sausages out there, it’s hard to please everyone. First there is patty or link sausage, and everyone has their preference on that; then there is such a variety of spices and herbs in the different brands and kinds that sausage just doesn’t seem to be as much of a crowd-pleaser.
