Do you have a bucket list of things that you want to do before you get married(things that don’t have anything to do with wedding planning) or before you have kids. I don’t have a bucket list for marriage but I do have a bucket list of things that I want to do before I take on the responsibility of having kids. Most of the things on my bucket list are about places that I would like to visit and trips that I want to take because its so much harder and travel with kids. What do you all think is the idea age to have your first child?

I don’t really have a bucket list. My parents traveled a lot with me and my two siblings when we were young, so I’m not too worried about missing out on traveling when the baby comes. I think now that I’m pregnant I’m focusing on small things like going to the movies and plays, b/c those are things I probably won’t be doing a lot of when she comes.

Travel to non-kid-friendly places (ie backpacking, rafting, Las Vegas, Iceland). Darling Husband wants to get a Wrangler and lift it. I want to start working from home, possibly live in the OBX for a time. Also want to get season tickets to Shakespeare Theater or something like that. Get a house, if we can? Dog needs to get older too–too much energy to deal with him AND a kid right now!
(as you can see we are looking at many years here :-P)

I have a bucket list of things I want to do before I die. But I don’t limit it to before/after kids.

@Mrs.KMM: Same. I have a lot of things on my bucket list for before I die but I dont see any reason why I cant do many of them with kids. I think I just want to enjoy my time with just my husband as much as possible. Travel a lot, go to wine festivals and concerts, stay out late, have BeerBQs with friends, etc.
