Bees:
I need help finding affordable bridesmaid dresses in my color scheme. I’ve seen lots of great ideas for dresses in easy-to-find colors like black or grey, but has anyone found anything that would fit with a more colorful palette? My colors are tangerine orange and an earthy, sage green for a June 2010 wedding. I’ve been pretty certain about doing a tangerine color dress like the following:
http://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/6562/
Or perhaps a two-toned dress like this one, with champagne as the main color and a tangerine sash:

I want to make this affordable for my girls, but am having a hard time finding less expensive options in my colors. Any advice is appreciated!

What is the price range that you are aiming for? If it’s not super far from that prices of the dresses that you listed then these suggestions may help:
Depending on how many bridesmaids you are having, some bridal stores will give a discount for ordering over a certain number (my girls got a discount because we ordered 6)
Also, Alfred Angelo has been emailing out coupons for $20 off bridesmaids dresses. Maybe sign up to receive their promotions and keep an eye out for a good deal.

We went with a vendor on amazon.com, and the price was definitely right ($80 including shipping) and the dresses were great. You can search by color and a lot of dresses come in multiple color options.

If all else fails, try shopstyle.com, where you can filter by colors. 🙂

I found 5 matching bridesmaids gowns on Craigslist-brand new with tags still on for a total of $200.00 for all.

I fell in love with the Dessy collection as well but the prices were more than I wanted my girls to pay so I am ordering them online from either perfect bridal or netbride.com. they are Sooo much cheaper and all of the reviews from other brides are great. I’m saving between 75-100 dollars per gown. Hope that helps.
