    Wow that seems like a deal on the cake, cupcakes, and cake pops. I’m having trouble finding a place to make the cake I want for less than 500 and I only want the cake.

    We were 31 (me) and 26.  The total was about 22k, we didnt really set a hard budget, but I was just trying to do everything for as little as possible. Here’s the break down of how things ended up.

    hall (including food and bar)-$6,000_ my parents paid for hall & his paid for bar

    centerpieces and decor- $650_ we paid

    marriage licenses-$40_we paid

    I am 32 (in Sept), fi is 30 and are paying for the wedding and honeymoon all ourselves as well (as of this moment). Budget is around $4-5K (VERY tight budget). Heres the breakdown –

    Wedding dress – $220 (with alterations)

    Reception hall venue – $450 (roughly)

    Ceremony – not sure yet?????

    Bouquets/bouts/centerpieces /flower basket and petals and petals for tables- $250 (will go up as I need 4 more centerpieces, 4 more bouts and petals for tossing)

    Cake $100-$120 (4 tiers)

    Makeup/hair – $100

    Photography – $220 (full coverage)…I know πŸ™‚

    Wedding Bands (both) – less than $50 πŸ™‚

    Caterers – $1000-$1500 (depends on ho we go with)

    Engagement shoot – free

    Wedding Party bus- not sure yet??????

    Favors – $20+ (so far)… will be another $100 or so

     booze – 200 (hoping…but not sure about this number)

    Paper – 100

    Accessories (including shoes) – $50

    Grooms attire $70 or so

    Ring bearer and groomsman (our sons): not sure yet???

    Officiant ???? (not sure yet)

    Marriage license – not sure yet either LOL

    Random decor – about $30 or so

    Bridal Party gifts – so far: less than $20

    Dj – 200 

    DOC/DOH (day of helper) – $100

    Total so far: $3830

    @Steph18:  haha, yeah… stationary was like $50.  Yup, my dress is included in apparel.  It was only $250, and my husbands tux rental was free (mens warehouse, rent 5 – 3 groomsman, and our two dads, get 6th free)

    @jumpthegun:  I had my expenses all in excel, and then just charted it.
