Holy moly! It sounds like you have had some tough times. Best wishes to your mom!
Check out Malibou Lake Mountain Club in Agoura. They are by far the most reasonably priced place in the Valley area and is in a pretty setting.

Another idea is Calamigos Equestrian Club. I think its in the Encino area.

Hi, I am so happy for you to have this day so close to happening now, and I am so sorry for what you and your family have had to endure. But good things happen to those who wait…trust me I know this from experience. Well about venues, I also looked everywhere from the SF valley to Pasadena and are also on a tight budget. We decided to go with Imperial Palace banquet hall in Pasadena, but one of our other top picks was Knollwood Country Club in Granada Hills. Also, I heard that Robinson Ranch in Santa Clarita was great, but unfortunately was too small for us, but with the guests you have in mind it should def work out. My Maid/Matron of Honor told me she attended a wedding at Robinson Ranch and that it was very pretty and that the bride she got a deal and was able to negotiate with the venue. Good luck, and hope all goes well.

Calamigos Equestrian is in Burbank, I think. 🙂
It’s hard to list budget venues in SFV because there are SO many and I’m not sure what your idea of “budget” is (Calamigos was “Big Splurge” to me!). I think your best bet is to find a restaurant there to host your reception, especially one that doesn’t typically do weddings. We’ve used Darband in Tarzana for a lot of family events, and you can do all of your food and drinks for a pretty reasonable cost there (I think they may be a little too small for your wedding, though), but really I’d just check on Yelp… probably the best way to find a restaurant with reasonable prices and a decently formal atmosphere.
I’m sorry you’ve had to go through so much in the last few years, but I wish you the best moving forward in your life and your wedding planning!!

You should really check out the Rococo Room in Pasadena. We wanted that place since the food was great and affordable but our wedding party is a bit too big for the space.
