Oh I am so excited to add to this thread!

Our colors are pink, orange and blue.. I decided I wanted my girls to wear orange dresses. I have searched high and low for dresses that will work (not ‘formal’ as we are getting married on a cruise ship) and I finally found them online at, of all places, Forever 21! Im normally worried cause their dresses are typically too short for tall girls like me and my girls, but these are great length, so pretty, and best of all..

$27 bucks each! I jumped all over them.

@shaydenise: Would you think about selling these after your wedding?  I also have around 30 tables and it looks like you have the same colors I do, black and green?  We may be using some centerpieces from our venue so I may not need all of them.  They look like they would be fun to use to decorate in other areas of our venue.  Let me know if you are thinking of selling them and for how much. They look awesome!

Ooo I have some!

My wedding shoes (im wearing cute plaid flats) got them at Kohls and after all my coupons and sales and what not…I paid a whopping $5!!!! (orig. $60 shoes)

Also my wedding shower dress, a $80 dress on clearance for $15.

My veil $7 with a Michaels coupon and about $8 worth of beads + 15 hours of beading = the most beautiful veil I could have imagined and it matches my dress perfect…not to mention I did it myself.

Lot’s of DIY stuff (reception advice cards, gift tags, etc)…all free…I am a scrapbooker so I just raided my stash.

My hair- Free. My mom’s and my stylist for the past 20 years came to me and asked if i would let her do it because she loves my hair. Heck yeah!

Day of makeup for me- $30

Bridesmaids gifts- $22 each. This includes really nice earrings and necklaces (clearance and perfect!) Flip flops, and other little self pampering things.

Flower girl (shes 8 so a little older than most)- $8. Had a garage sale last weekend and my moms friend who makes gift baskets brought a buuunch of little things she never used. I got (all new and unopened) lipgloss, a beading kit, a little hand lotion kit, some really pretty bracelets and then I bought her those little mini nail polishes from walmart (bon bons i think?) and the same necklace as my BMs.

Hmm..thats all I can think of so far.

I am such a bargain shopper.  Love the hunt!

Deals to date…

1.  Dress from ebay (bridal shop selling samples).  $55 including shipping.  Not crazy about the beading, but the dress color is perfect.  Pulling the beading and replacing with cherry blossom branch embroidery.

2.  Joann’s just had invitation suites on sale for 25% off.  Plus I got two $10 of future purchase card when I bought them.

3.  Wedding jewelry @ resale shop-$5

4.  Found 13 gorgeous deep red square ceramic vases @ Target in the clearance section.

5.  We are doing a sake toast instead of champagne.  Will buy sake bottles and cups from a restaurant supply store by the case (approx. $13-$17 per case of twelve).  Will decorate sake bottles with cherry blossom branches, and this will be favors (can be used as bud vases).

6.  Best deal to date…Turns out our venue wants to upgrade their computer systems over the winter.  My finace is a network engineer.  We may be able to barter for the venue cost.

My big splurge so far is postage.  There is an animal rescue group that offers postage with thier artwork on Zazzle.  I will be spending more on postage than standard stamps, but profits go to the rescue group-The Caboodle Ranch.

I have made friends with every Dollar Tree in my general area. Got all the glass vases for our centerpieces there along with the clear glass rocks for the bottoms. And I’m going to get LED tea lights, 2 for $1!

All of my crafting supplies have come from Michael’s with coupons. Except the styrofoam balls which I found for way cheaper on amazon.com. I got 120 cloth napkins from another bride for $50 total. And I think I’m going to buy all of my votive candles and holders from quickcandles.com – $40 for 72 glass votive holders with 72 white unscented votives.

All of those bargains are allowing me to make all of my own ceremony and reception decorations. So the only fresh flowers I’ll be buying are my bouquet and my fiance’s bout.

How’s that for bargain hunting? Can I still hang out with you all? 🙂

Great finds, Ladies!

I’m doing mismatched china dinner plates, and so far I’m at average 60 cents per plate, which is not much more than renting in my area!  From Goodwill and church thrift shops.  I also like that I’m supporting charity with this shopping.

I’m going to do more Craigslist looking, since I was thinking about mason jars for drinking, and about buying utensils too!

Also, I’m saving my sauce and other glass jars/bottles for flowers… I hope that ends up looking good!
