We’re having the local grocery store make our cake for less then half of what a professional baker charges. Their cakes are delicious and beautiful and while it won’t be artwork, it will be lovelyl and a huge savings.

I am always keeping my eyes open for bargains. I have a high quality taste with a low budget, so I am doing my homework to avoid extra costs. I splurge on some things though (like the quality aisle runner), but only because I am using it as a keepsake. My cousin is a great artist and she is going to paint our Monogram on it. Then we are using it as a guest book of sorts. We’ll eventually have it framed and hung in our house.

Today, I spent $6.50 on:
4 square/cube teal glass candle holders, which can also be used to store little bunches of flowers
a pretty guestbook flower/vase set ($1.50) with a pen holder. It’s got pink orchids in it.
1 cylindrical teal glass candle holder, which I am planning to fill it with Jelly Belly and stick lollipops for the kids’ table centrepiece. In My Humble Opinion, I don’t think kids are as excited about flowers as they would be with treats.
Fiance spent $5 on a never-used wedding cake server/knife set, which has Tiffany blue on it.
I’m still on the look out for thrift tea-pots to put flowers in.
