p.s. We decided that, to save money and because our BMs needed a place to put their flowers anyway, the decs for the wedding party table would just be BMs flowers — we essentially didn’t have to pay for 5 bouquets for the reception.  Just a tip!

Also, I had not intention of putting the bouquets together myself — I didn’t consider that an efficient use of my time.  And, as one PP said, I decided on seasonal flowers AND I was very picky about the exact flowers.  We didn’t need to do any extra uplighting or sacrifice any of our floral vision, and the arrangements looked full, not skimpy.  Good luck with your flowers!

BurlapnLace:  the only live flowers we are Having are bouquets that I am going to make from flowers ordered from blooms by the box. Our centerpieces are going to be books and dried babies breath. Have you considered dried flowers, or paper flowers? or, you could order wholesale from blooms by the box and just do a couple flowers in tiny vases, I’ve seen lots of similar arrangements. Our venue is in a garden so we decided we didn’t need more fresh flowers. What is your venue like? If your heart isn’t set in flowers you could do many other centerpiece ideas! Our centerpieces cost about $1 each because the books were free! I did a lot of diy which saved $$. The bouquets will cost about $80 total. Worth thinking about!!
