For the wedding I am budgeting $100, this is for lingerie and any undergarments I may need that day. My dress is super supportive so I wont need a bra, but will be purchasing something really sexy for the wedding night like a baby doll.
Totally depends! Im going all out because well, its my wedding night. also plan to pick stuff up for the honeymoon.
I am obsessed with cute underwear… before the wedding I spent about 500 bucks on it (not all was wedding related, but still, those tipicalle “bride”, “mrs” panties and the matching bras, and the lingerie for the wedding night and the honeymoon). I didn’t wear a bra under my dress and can’t remember which panties I used. And I think I’ve used the babydolls and corsets only twice after the honeymoon, so its money I could’ve saved..
I budgeted about $40 extra for lingerie for my boudoir shoot (one of my groom’s gifts), so I’m just using the same stuff for the wedding night. I already have a bunch of cute bras and panties, so it was super easy (I tend to always buy black lace).
I bought a $30 bra and $7 panties for under my dress. My mom handed me her Victoria’s Secret credit card as my birthday present and told me to know myself out. I spent $275… though for a $75 discount, so it only cost $200, for wedding night/honeymoon lingerie and a new swim suit. :o)
I’ll be buying some What Katie Did lingerie and stockings before I get married, Functional AND sexy! BA-BOOM. Looking at around 200$ for me 🙂
I don’t really do fancy lingerie- when I can find my size, it’s out of my price range, because I can’t afford to pay for little-use items what I pay for my everyday bras (they run like $60-70 each). I try to buy pretty ish (or at least not hideous) everyday undergarments. But I also don’t have a Darling Husband that’s into that sort of thing. He doesn’t care what stands between him and me, naked. All it’s going to do is come off, and it doesn’t matter what it looks like laying on the floor.
For the wedding, I did splurge on a pair of $40 “bride” underwear. Darling Husband didn’t even notice. Haha. We were so wiped out by that night, all we did was fall into bed half dead from exhaustion. And I had to spend like $90 on a good corset-style bra… There was just no other supportive option for me.
I hadn’t really thought about it, and don’t think it’s something I’ll particularly “budget” for. I won’t be wearing a bra under my dress, so that just leaves panties, and I will probably look for a bride-ish pair (something that says “mrs” on them or whatever). And I’m leaning towards a garterbelt and stockings to wear the day of, because he’d enjoy that. If I do go the stocking route, I’ll invest in a pair of silk stockings, so that will set me back about $80, but what the hell, I’m only getting married once. 🙂
I also anticipate that I’ll get lingerie as gifts, so don’t plan to buy anything beyond my wedding day delicates until closer to the date. I figure I might spend $150, if that.
Does anyone have a good site for wedding specific lingerie (i.e. “Bride” satin robes, panties, etc)?
@SeaSalt: I’m a huge fan of agent provocateur, but it’s super super pricey!
@velvetcats: love love LOVE agent provocateur! but yeah… way expensive.
i also like La Perla, VS, frederick’s of hollywood, trashy, yandy, 3wishes… depending on what exactly you’re looking for.
