Hello! I live in Los Angeles and i’m planning a wedding in Vegas. I figured it’s cheaper that way. I’m just sooo lost as to places to look at. I have a $5,000 budget and a guestlist of about 65. I wan’t a nice, classy ceremony. I also want to feed my guests but I don’t have a big budget to have a reception at a hotel. Any suggestions? I’m open to something off the strip.

knunez85: have you thought about an in-suite wedding? Basically you hire a suite, get an officant and caterer and do the whole thing there. We thought about it but went a different way for our vegas wedding.
Also a lot of the casino buffets have private rooms. That could be a more cost effective option.
I would head over to the knots las vegas board as it is far more active than here inregards to vegas weddings. There used to be helpful spreadsheets etc for venues and stuff.

Tha Platinum Hotel off the strip has some excellent affordable reception packages as well as the Mob Museum.

I have been looking at Vegas options as well and there are some great packages available at some of the hotels. Personally I have been researching the Aria and I find the prices to be affordable especially if you go for the more inexpensive packages.

amandaapg: the aria would be amazing!!! Are you looking to have the ceremony and reception there?? I remember briefly looking and seeing it was more than half my budget.

We married at Siena Golf Club in Las Vegas- it was beautiful and the lights from the Strip could be seen through the trees. You could also try Emerald at Queensridge, it is very popular

knunez85: I really am not sure yet! I need to contact them for more info. I’m in the super early stages of planning so I havent called or emailed them yet to figure out what all of the logistics would look like. As far as I can tell from my research you can do both there but I think it would have to be a smaller guest list. You should check it out the different ceremony sites look gorgeous!

Check out Chapel of the Flowers. I got married there in the Glass Gardens there and then we booked a dinner at Il Fornaio in NYNY and we had 45 people there. I booked Il Fornaio on my own because I got a block of rooms at NYNY for my guests, but you could also book receptions at restaurants through Chapel of the Flowers.

You can get married at Caesar’s for under $2k. And then do a reception at a nearby restaurant (we looked into Joe’s in Caesar’s mall area). If I remember correctly, it would be around your budget. It’s also cheaper to do it for lunch… and then the guests can spend the day on the strip!

What was your guest count and about how much did it come out to? Sounds beautiful

I got married in October at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel. We had premium reception and the Bond theme package ceremony with 60 people for $9500 all in. All I had to do was show up. Hair makeup, bridal suite was part of that.
You can do an outdoor ceremony with a small reception package for $5000 pretty easily.
