We are weighing our options now, just to start planning for the future. We want something extremely small and intimate. We figured out the smallest we can have is 50 people, because of our family size. We live north of Boston. Any budget friendly wedding venues (ceremony and reception) in the New England area that would work well with a smaller size, and that is around/under ~$65 a plate and includes all the extras such as a day of wedding coordinator, setup, clean up, linens, etc.
Please let me know if this is completely unrealistic too.

Concord’s Colonial Inn!! A friend of mine is having her wedding there and from what I’ve gathered, you can totally pull off a wedding there with the budget you’ve got. I don’t know if she has a day of coordinator per se, but she mentioned that there is someone to set up centerpieces, sign for deliveries, etc. Give them a call and see if they can send you a price list.

Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge has different spaces and options in budget… I had a great experience there!

Thanks so much! I will check both those places out! I mean I would prefer to elope and have a great honeymoon, but we all know weddings are more for the families! And I do really love my in-laws!

If you would be ok with this, check out local house boat rentals or tour boat rentals. I’m getting married on a boat with 50 guests (I’m in New Brunswick Canada), but it’s a fun and inexpensive idea. We just had to pay for the 2.5 hour charter and we’re having our reception at a restaurant on the wharf. Since it’s a restaurant they are only charging us $30 pp

That is a great idea, and I would completely be okay with that, but my SO hates being on the water. He gets super sick. Thanks so much!!!!
