Mint.com would be your best friend. You can set up budgets, goals for things you are saving for, keeps tracks of all your transactions, etc.,

It keeps a history of everything so you can budget accordingly based on the categories that you tag all of the transactions as (i.e., groceries, entertainment, gas, etc). I’ve been using it for almost 3 years now and it really helps SO and I know when we’re going over budget or when we need to cut back on something.

@AquaGrey8962:  I do my budget online with my bank (Wells Fargo).  It lets me see exactly how much I’m spending, plus I can schedule bills to go out on a certain day and it will automatically project what my balance will be after the bills go out.  I’d check and see if your bank has some sort of online bill pay/budgeting tool.

Oh my god I second Mint. See all your accounts on one site without actually combining them, get straight up ratios of debt to cash, and make it easy to see where you’re paying fees and where your money’s going.

I’ve never used Mint before, but I have a friend who’s always ranting about how good microsoft money is. The softwares a little old, but still relevant methinks 🙂
