We’re on a STRICT budget, but still want to enjoy our honeymoon. I know honeymooning in June will be more pricey than say, November. We live 30 minutes from the beach, but I want to honeymoon somewhere different from where we might run into people we know. There are plenty of cute beach towns close by, and I’ve considered staying in Seaside or Watercolor for a week and being lazy and in love. Any Bees out there that are honeymooning on a budget or on the Florida Panhandle? Any tips for enjoying that newlywed bliss without busting the bank?

We are on a very tight budget too! We went from wanting to honeymoon in Mexico but then my Mom told us she didn’t think that was a good idea with all the drug violence and then we thought about it and we both do not have passports so that would cost almost another $400. So we were looking into Fort Lauderdale, FL perhaps. Any tips??? We both like the casino and I saw that there is the new Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood so I was thinking Fort Lauderdale would be a good pick and we could stay right on the beach….any suggestions?? we haven’t booked anything yet and it will probably be very last minute….but we don’t want to get married and then go back to work lol
