- Wedding: July 2015 - Springfield Golf & Country Cub
Okay when I say budget issues I really mean that we don’t have any money saved at all pratically for this wedding of ours. Bee’s I work two jobs that are both part time where one pays around eight an hour and the other ten an hour and I work as one of the head people for both jobs. On top of that I had to spend a good amount of money this past month for my baby cousin’s wedding in TEN DAYS!!! With two jobs I also have college that I attend as well so that I can someday become a Psychologist.
With all the money rolling in from two jobs you would think that I alone could save money. NOPE. Mr. Sea Turtle works as an electrician for a community college up north but most of his money goes to his child support every month and every first of the month he pays the rent. Then there’s the crazy bills that rack up every month as well that keeps me from saving any money at all. Hence this is me normally when I have to think about the money I don’t have.
OF course I have no issue planning all the aspacts of my wedding and dreaming about it at all times of the day! So Bees as I feel like this crazy hopeless person what are your suggestions at helping safe money??

@Missmollyblue: 🙁 I’m with you here. I’m a teacher and my Fiance is in school/academy and we live in one of the most expensive cities in the country. You wouldn’t believe what groceries even cost over here. After bills, rent, and all that jazz are taken care of, we’re left with pennies. We haven’t been able to save much money and it’s extremely frustrating.
My only advice is to start small. Do you get a coffee or lunch everyday? Bring from home instead, and commit youself to putting that cash into a jar. It’s small- i know, but it will help somewhat. Is your Fiance able to get a second part time job? Can you possibly ask for a raise? Or, pick up an extra hour a week?
We also cleaned out our house. We both had a ton of text books left over from college and posted them up on half.com – so far we’ve sold a bunch and made about $160! (and my house has less clutter!)
good luck with it all!

@Missmollyblue: do you have anything you can sell?
Coupon to save on food
get rid of cable. Rent movies from the library to redbox
dont eat out
track all your sspending eat meals that stretch. I do this. I make homemade Mac and cheese and I can get 6 meals for two people.
Cut back on beef eat more chicken breasts
stay away from prepackaged meals
try farmers markets for cheaper veggies
start another account where 25 or 50 bucks is automatically withdrawn and put in the wedding fun. I do this and I find I adjust my spending
