Mine came in a little over budget but I will share it.

It was $174 before tax. 10k white gold, 3 1/2 carat lab created pink topaz & 28 natural diamonds in the halo:

For $150 or under I would go for one of these:

10k Gold Created Ruby/ Diamond Accent Ring (I-J, I2-I3)

This one is only 2 dollars over:

Miadora 10k White Gold Created White Sapphire Solitaire Ring

This one is a little over (11 dollars) but I LOVE it & its on my wish list so I must show!

10k White Gold Blue Topaz, Morganite and Diamond Accent Ring

There are ALOT of rings out there under 150 these are just my favorite, so a few ran a little over budget but not by much! You can totally get a gorgoeus ring in that budget!

Also all of these have natural diamonds & real gold.

My ring is a sky blue topaz in silver and cost $80. I got it from a local etsy seller Hoi Pollois.

Peridot, which is what I want anyway, but given the budget I’d probably go for sterling silver instead of gold.

I’m normally not big on 3-stone rings, but I LOVE 3-stone bezels. This one is peridot and white sapphire, $71 from Etsy seller ChadaSoph:

@kesslec: Not as an engagement ring, but– I bought an antique, victorian ring for $145 similar to this one on ebay:

oh well, can’t get a hotlink to work. So use this search on ebay:

12k rose gold antique Victorian pink saphhire & pearl ring

Since buying it, I’ve learned that this style of ring is common and it is easily 120 years old. Mine has an inscription from 1887, that’s really old! Also, don’t be fooled by the “sapphire” line–it is simulated sapphire. The dealer I bought mine from was upfront about it being simulated. Again, I’ve since read up on these rings and it was very common in rings like this to have simulated cneter stones. The little seed pearls are real.

for the price range you have, I’d either go antiue (if I liked antiues) or go very very modern. A traiditional rock with fine metal setting wont’ fly in this range.

There are some very very cool rings that you could get.

I would get this one!  It is Garnet for my man’s birthstone.  I read it symbolizes eternal friendship as well.  I cheated though, this one is 159.00
