I can’t give you any budget savy suggestions, but I do know there is no sales tax in DE. My daughter married there and chose all their vendors there, except for apparel, and they saved thousands.

I would look at unusual venues (YMCA, city or university gardens/parks, etc.) that allow you to bring your own caterer and alcohol. Choose a weekday or a Sunday, and be open to other times of the day that might be cheaper (brunch will cost you less than full dinner).

For vendors I suggest thumbtack where you can find professionals or semi professionals that match the budget you are setting.

I live in DC and would not recommend looking here. With the high COL, all of the vendors are crazy expensive. We were able to select our own caterer and bring our own alcohol and the cost of food + alcohol alone for our 130ish guests is over $15k.

ETA: My best friend had a gorgeous open bar wedding in eastern PA for around $20k and had ~150 guests, so I’m sure you could find somewhere lovely in PA 🙂
