I have been debating whether or not to have a videographer and I have decided that it is important for us to have one. Unfortunately, we have a really tight budget for the videography. We are hoping to spend less than $1000.00. I really appreciate any suggestions or help.

@ChicagoB2B: I’m looking at Jolie Images for photography and videography right now. They have a videographer they can recommend that comes in just under $1000. His smallest package is $995 I think. It’s worth checking out if you’re unable to find other options.

See if this is an option for you: http://weddings.storymixmedia.com/
they provide you with Flip video cameras, you give them to people, they edit. It’s the only option I was considering, but don’t think we’re going to do it. Although they do have a ‘send us the footage, and we’ll make a video’ option that could work for us…

Johnny filmed our ceremony and reception and his work is amazing. He was under $1,000 and we had 2 videographers. I definitely recommend his work when being on a tight budget. You won’t be disappointed 🙂

Thank you very much for your responses.
We ended up deciding on David Kasdan. He films with his wife, and he was priced really reasonably. We are paying $895.00 for 8 and 1/2 hours with two videographers. Also, he offers his services in HD or regular film, which I thought was really amazing. Our first meeting with him was really great, and he has been very prompt in returning any questions. I will definitely post a review after the wedding. : )

You may want to check your local college or craigslist. There are lots of talented video guys out there just make sure you get to see a whole wedding video so you’ll have a clue on what you will be getting.
