We’re having a taco & nacho bar w/ beans & rice. I kept going back & forth so much about our food options. But we, along w/ our families, LOVE tacos & nachos.
We’re also doing a cocktail hour w/ empanadas, quesadillas, taquitos & Mexican wedding cookies.
And of course we would be totally wrong not to go with the margarita machines 🙂
Are you going more low-key or upscale w/ your buffet foods?

Fiance wants taco bar. I’m not sold yet. I want to have bbq meat catered and make our own picnic sides. This is a casual affair…but I don’t think tacos scream garden wedding…even casual garden wedding.

We have three stations: grilling station, Middle Eastern station and Tuscan station.
The main course of the grilling station is London broil with roasted potatoes. The main course of the ME station is Morroccan salmon with roasted veggie couscous. And the main course of the Tuscan station is chicken arrabiata with tortellini in pesto cream sauce.
There are a lot of other sides, salads, apps, etc. Those are just the main courses.

@mishelleez: Ooohhh, that sounds soooo good. I *heart* lasagna…I’m a pasta-whore. Fiance & I wanted to do pasta, but our families don’t care for it like we do. So instead I get a pasta bar for my shower 🙂
@missrobots: LOL. It could be fun, but I understand your hesitation.

We are having a chocolate fountain for when guests are arriving at the reception. For dinner, we are having:
stuffed chicken breasts, ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, summer vegetables, tossed salad and rolls. My Fiance would love the mexican food, but i hate mexican so we had to come to a happy medium.

@danadelphia: Read my feelings on pasta above 🙂
