Alrighty possible my favorite part of my wedding planning… THE FOOD!
I’m just coming up with a rough idea of what we would like. I would appreciate any ideas you bee’s can come up with to add or change. I’m DIY all the food so keep that in mind lol
Red sauce italian sausage lasagna
Lemon butter shrimp
Base green salad with add ons of:
different types of cheeses (haven’t decided what kinds yet)
Salad dressings: caesar, ranch, balsamic vinagerette, blue cheese, poppy seed
Huge amounts of sliced fruit: cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes, honey dew,
pinapple, apples, strawberries, oranges ,bananas(maybe)
Rolls or bread with butter
Desserts: cake, cookies, mayeb some type of pudding
I know I need to add more sides I just can’t think of anymore at this time 🙂

I would have another main dish, aside from the lasagna. I know for my guests, nearly all my paternal family side has ulcers and red sauce would kill them! And as a guest, or even when eating out, I stay away from anything with red sauce. I don’t like a lot of it (personal preference, not ulcers), so I stay away from it if I can’t control the amount. Maybe something without a sauce? I’d also work in another vegetable, aside from squash; many people don’t liked steamed vegetables, much less squash.

Maybe another noodle dish without meat?

Are you going to have any vegetarians at your wedding? If so, maybe add another main dish that is veggie-friendly! Some ideas: eggplant parm, vegetarian lasagna (might be easy to make if you’re already doing lasagna!), baked mac n’ cheese, butternut squash ravioli.
I just started craving a panini sandwich, so if you have a panini press you could have a make-your-own panini station! That would be kinda fun 🙂 And a little less work for you!
It all sounds delicious though — good luck DIYing it!

Side dishes that are crowd pleasers and easy/budget friendly, since you are doing this yourself :
Some kind of potatoe dish; hash browns or scalloped potatoes
Mac and cheese
pasta salad of some sort
something with rice, such as rice pilaf, red beans and rice, fried rice
