My fiance & I are having a small (about 40 people), semi casual wedding at a park. We’re self catering our wedding with the help of some of our family, and are planning on doing a buffet. We’ve got some ideas, but I need a bit more. Here’s what we’ve got right now:
My sister’s tortilla roll ups – homemade salsa, grilled chicken, sour cream, cheese
Pasta salad (2 kinds)
Cheese & Cracker Tray
Piggies in a blanket
Pumpkin dip & caramel dip with apple slices
Donuts with blue frosting
We’ve got a lot of sweets, but need a few more savoury ideas. Any thoughts?

Something that’s easy to cater in bulk is rice with a few different ‘toppings’ – e.g. chicken/vego curry, casserole, beef stroganoff, etc.
Just do 1 tray (bain-marie, preferably) full of rice, and 2 more with different toppings. Guests can choose their own rice/topping ratio, and the bonus is that you could probably prepare it a few weeks in advance, freeze it, and defrost/heat on the day, so less cooking right before the wedding.

Will the food be warm? You could do chicken skewers. Fried potato and cheese balls (in keeping with the fried macaroni and cheese). Cole slaw (love). Mini burgers (ham and cheese if you eat ham or turkey).
