MrsA44:  I don’t even have words for how this makes me feel. I probably would have just gone ahead and lit myself on fire. kudos for not taking an ice pick to your ear while feeling it crawling in there! And I’m so beyond glad they got it out.

This was the worst thread to read before bed 🙁

A couple nights ago I felt a hair tickling my leg in bed which isn’t unusual as I have long hair that sheds everywhere. I pulled the blanket back to get it and it was a massive spider making its way up to my thigh… I SCOOPED it up as it was too big to merely swat with my hand and hurled it across the room where I promptly smashed it with a flip flop. I hate bugs

Got a bat in through the window during nightstorms=nightmares. First time woke up because of crawling noise. Next year the creature was hissing and somewhat like spitting around.

ali0118:  🙁 I have a horror story about them. I’ve seen many in my lifetime because I am from TX. They grow to MASSIVE size there. I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. As I started to go, I looked around in front of me and saw it…a huge one! I looked at it. It looked at me. I froze in fear. It even stopped my pee. It flew directly at me like an attack! I scrambled off the toilet and out of the bathroom with my panties around my ankles. It had it out for me! In the end, I charged back into the bathroom with the broom and screamed while I beat the hell out of it. I WIN!

When I lived alone last year, I was headed to bed and I saw a decent sized black spider crawl up my dresser.. which was essentially at the end of my bed.. And i couldnt find it once it crawled to the top to kill it and it freaked me out so I just slept on the couch  ha

When I was in college the town where I lived was pretty much in the middle of a forest with lots of trees. It was a pretty small, secluded town. The house I lived in my senior year had poor insulation. There was also a small hole in the door that the rubber from the door frame should’ve covered up. We would get creepy-crawlies in our house ALL THE TIME – especially since we lived at the top of a hill right up against a forest.

One evening I walked in my room and there was this MASSIVE wolf spider camping out in the middle of my bed with BABIES on its back. I’d never seen anything so nasty and freaking scary. Even though wolf spiders aren’t poisonous they would get really damn big in the forest and I hate spiders. When I went after the spider with a broom (dumb) all the babies went everywhere and it looked like my bed was infested with tiny spiders! I stripped the bed, washed all my sheets, duvet, everything. I sprayed my whole bed down with Lysol and slept with my roommate for the next 3 days until I deemed my bedroom ‘safe’ again, lol.

MrsA44:  Woman I’m so sorry.  One of my close friends in HS had this happened to her!!!! Apparently this is not a “one time” thing I thought it would be and read your story.  She now sleeps with ear plugs just like you!!!

We have cockroaches in my neighborhood too.  It’s Hawaii, we have cockroaches on the street and parks, like it’s their nature and not because it’s filthy LOL.  Anyway, during rains and stuff, they like to shelter inside homes–which happened last night.  Good thing my dog loves to play with anything that crawls and usually–IDK how she does it–gets them on their back and they can’t crawl away.  She did this multiple times now and I saw her in action last night with a big cockroach.  She won!  Love my dog…

Waterbugs are my worst nightmare I hate the surprise element that comes with those suckers and I act like a complete maniac while trying to kill them.  My go to weapon is smashing it with a broom because I don’t even want to get close to it so all you hear is my screaming and the broom crashing down until it dies ughhh yuck! It’s probably a funny scene now that I think about it but it’s never funny when it happens!

the worst one I have for you all is the thing of nightmares. I still have yet to see another spider like this one in my whole life. I lived in a top floor apartment with my ex husband at the time. he wasn’t home and I happened to be cleaning the windows. So I opened them to reach outside and clean the outside of them. Well I didn’t notice the massive web outside going across the window so when I stuck my arm out it went right through the web and the spider living on it ended up on my arm. it was the largest spider I have ever come across. EVER. it was a weird sort of cream color with brown strips and was semi see through? and no matter how hard I shook he wouldn’t come off. So I had to slam my arm repeatedly against the wall to kill it. It took a few swings and on the last one it “popped” and my arm was covered in a very slimy gooey greenish substance that I can only compare to boogers. it was horrific and I cried and rocked back and forth on the couch until my husband came home. Traumatic. for real.
