How about a courthouse that ROCKS?  A courthouse complete with gardens and murals that would rival any pricey venue or cathedral?

Shown below are the Luzerne (Pennsylvania) County Courthouse and the Santa Barbara (California) County Courthouse and its elaborate sunken gardens.

*edited to note:  Couldn’t add Luzerne Co. Courthouse but here’s the link!

From "Offbeat Bride", here’s a black white and red themed courthouse wedding.  Reception fabulously celebrated at a pub afterwards!

And also a cute black and yellow accented couple happily leaving the Manhatten Marriage Bureau!

Btw..that is one swanky place to say I do!  They have their own florist (see the link), they have a luxe waiting area perfect for pictures, and to me redefines the courthouse wedding experience!

@DMarie..that would be perfect!

@Cacey..I will check it out when I get home (am at work) and see if I can get it to you!  It’s so adorable!  I think it’s in a blog site.  They were just so adorable on that red bus with the red accents and their expressions were just screaming "hey!  We just got married!"

OMG!!! I so LOOOVE that wedding..the courthouse pics were so breathtaking and the reception?  Simplicity and Elegance!

What a handsome couple!  I also love her dresses and shoes and different looks with her hair and even makeup for different days.

What an incredible idea!  Do a courthouse wedding and save the money for the reception the next day!  Think of the $$ that could be saved!

Btw, I now absolutely adore that photographer!

This is courthouse wedding EYE CANDY at its best!!!

My gosh, I know! The twirling in the courthouse picture gets me every time. Too bad we don’t have any courthouses like SF City Hall around Atlanta…

I’d really appreciate the link if you can find it later. We have thought about doing a courthouse ceremony and the bar/restaurant/pub downtown reception.

Are there any gorgeous Court Houses in Georgia?  Our local one is ok..not that great looking for pictures I guess.

Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

@Claudia Vanessa… there’s a gorgeous place in Decatur– do a search for “Old Courthouse on the Square”… if we were getting married in ATL, that’d be the place for us!

I LOVE the courthouse theme/ looks, bees! Thanks for sharing the great ideas! Makes eloping/ just making things official all the more tempting! Getting married is really about the two of us, isn’t it?!
