I’m currently in search of a place to get flats or sandals for my guests for the reception. We’re outside, in the mountains, and I KNOW there will be people who will be thankful for the flat footare option.

At least twice a year Old Navy has their flip flops on sale for $1. They usually have a limit on the number you can buy, so you may need to take friends and family.
DollarDays also has inexpensive shoes in several kinds; flip flops, mens slides, slippers etc

I actually found them at the dollar store of all places. They are comparable to a walmart quality, not anything I would wear for an extended period of time, but they are perfect as a wedding freebie.

In my experience, guests bring their own flat shoes, for dancing. I don’t think that flip flops and fast dancing are safe together.

Dollartree, Old Navy has their $1 sandals a few times each spring and summer, and dollardays.com is great too!

I second 2XMOB. I bring appropriate flats with me to any wedding. It is nice gesture on your part. If you do provide flats be sure to include a few pair of “slides” as there are those who cannot wear “flip flops.” I for one cannot as they actually cramp & hurt the high arches of my feet. Happy shopping 🙂

I was just married, and I really wanted to do this for my guests. But as it came closer to the wedding, it was just another thing that would take me time to put together and though I knew some guests would appreciate it, it’s just not necessary. The wedding was perfect and my guests danced all.night.long in whatever shoes they had/brought with them and I didn’t remember the flip flops for one second until I saw this post! I would say keep it towards the end of your to-do list.
