Thanks for the heads up!  Just bought some hook & loop BGs to compare to my snaps.  Whichever I like better I’ll order more.  ๐Ÿ™‚

I have to say…I am less than impressed with “Noodle.”  It’s basically “not-quite-white.”  And sometimes…I think it IS white.  Which is annoying.  I won’t buy that “color” anymore.  If I wanted a white diaper I would have purchased the white diaper darnit!

Do you all like your bumgenius 4.0?  I’m still seriously considering cloth diapering and am unsure about what brand and type of diapers to use.  Any suggestions?

@dchokiebride3 BG 4.0 I would say is one of the more popular diapers.  IF you want to do a stash with one diaper, it is one of the better ones.  However, a lot of people find that they don’t really fit well until closer to 10-12 pounds, so I would be careful to buy too many of one kind until you are sure.

Since they are a pocket diaper, though, they do offer a lot of flexibility, since you can add more inserts (such as hemp inserts) once your LO needs more but are easy for others to use if babysitting.  (It will seem like a disposable to them, and you can take the insert out later…lots of people use BG 4.0s for daycare.)

I spend a lot of time on the bump’s cloth diaper board, and the consensus there seems to be to do a diaper trial such as from http://jilliansdrawers.com/ and not invest too much in just one diaper.

Diapers fit every baby differently, so this lets you try out a bunch before you buy them and spend a bunch of $.  I’ve tried just about everything, LOL, so PM me if you have any other questions.  Generally, I hear that prefolds and fitteds with covers do the best for newborn poop.  We didn’t start CD until 4 weeks, and our baby is huge, but we did start with mostly prefolds.

@MightySapphire:  ugh, my husband thought it was white, too!  I’ve heard that they will be coming out with better colors early next year (if you don’t like the super light colors)

We are an exclusively BG family.  We messed with prefolds a liile bit and realized we were setting ouselves up for failure.

@Mrs. DG:  I probably should mention we only sticked w/ prefolds for a month, lol, and now they are our backup system (to have a dozen extra dipes for cheap)
