Just curious what people’s experiences have been with bumps in second pregnancies.
I know you generally start showing sooner but I didn’t have a proper bump until I was about 6 months with my first and I’m only 14 weeks with this pregnancy and feel like I’m struggling to hide it.
Also, if you started showing much sooner did your bump end up bigger than the first at the end of the pregnancy. Feel like I’m going to end up huge if I carry on like this.

I’m in my first pregnancy, so I’m not speaking from experience, but after reading up about bumps, I understand that you show a lot faster with your second pregnancy because your muscles and uterus have been loosened and expanded due to your first pregnancy. I wouldn’t worry about showing much earlier than you did in your first prengnacy and ending up being much bigger. Congrats!

Bump showed up faster, but at some point it evened out. I’m 26 weeks and look about the same as I did at 26 weeks with my first.

Blow up a balloon all the way and let the air out. Then see how easily quickly it inflates to full size again!
My second and third bumps were a tad bigger, but those babies were also bigger when they were born than my first.

a student asked if I was pregnant 3 days after I’d peed on a stick. She was clearly just looking at my flab leftover from baby #1 but I had a hell of a time answering without lying, which I certainly didn’t want to do for silly superstitious reasons. Crazy little kids.
That said, I believe I’m on week 11 right now and I know the fat has changed shape from saggy to more rounded. I definitely think I look pregnant but not enough for any adults to risk asking. I think I was showing around 14 weeks the first time, I’d call it 9 or 10 this time.

I popped sooner with my second and third, but I gained 45 pounds with my first and only 16 with my second. I’m currently pregnant with our third and I’m up about 14 pounds at 6 months. So- yes to showing earlier, but I wouldn’t worry about the size. Agree with PP, it kind of evens out as you go. Congratulations!

Just to be clear I’m not worried about how big I get, I’m just happy to be pregnant. I was just curious about others experiences.
I expected to show earlier but I was still wearing normal jeans at 6 months with my son and I’m already living in stretchy waistbands this time at 14 weeks. Seems crazy.

First pregnancy I was around 26 weeks before anyone could sort of tell, and even then I could disguise it pretty easily if I wanted to. This time, I’ve had a little bump since 12 weeks (will be 16 tomorrow), and it’s getting hard to hide already. I was surprised by how fast I moved into stretchy clothes this time; I didn’t even bother with most maternity clothes last time. I switched to leggings at 7.5 months, but even then it was just my regular leggings under the bump, not maternity.
