I did runners, but we’re going to have SO many chairs that I didn’t want to mess with the sahses.

I bought the burlap fabric from Hobby Lobby, and my Future Mother-In-Law and I DIYed them.

Here is our finished product

Typical chair sashes measure 8″ X 108″. All you would need to do to make them is cut your fabric in those dimensions. For the flower, just tie the sash with a slip knot and then insert the flower in between the knot.

@lizbethamber: I found it online for cheaper as well, but it was going to cost WAAAAAY too much for me to have it shipped (over one hundred bucks) and to me it just wasn’t worth it.

I went when they had it on sale for $2.99 a yard and also used a 40% off coupon. I bought 40 yards of fabric that was 48″ in width and it ended up being around 86 bucks. I didn’t think that was too unreasonable, especially since we got 35 runners out of it.

@lizbethamber: Yeah, they had to special order my burlap and by the time it came in it wasn’t on sale anymore. But I made SURE that when I ordered it I would def get the sale price. Just keep checking…

The coupon I got from their website. http://www.hobbylobby.com

It was a 40% off one item coupon, it really helped!

I’m not a big fan of burlap chair sashes as they are itchy and shed, but if that’s what you want to do:

you could do them vertically instead of horizontally

Wedding, Brown, Table, Chair, Sash, Runner, Burlap

You could also make them out of burlap tree wrap
