This looks like a Trifold cover to me. You can see in the pic that the burlap is folded over about an inch on the right side so there is no raw edge exposed.

The right side then needs to be wide enough to fold over the invitation but not quite all the way to the left edge plus one inch.

The left side then folds down over the right.

If your invitations are going to be 6″ tall they would likely be 4″wide. That would mean that the length you would need for each pice of burlap would be about 12″.

Remember that these have to fit inside envelopes so you may want to keep that in mind before you decide the final size of your invitations.

FYI burlap is NOT the easiest thing to work with!!!!

And yeah, you should definitely think about how you are going to mail these before you get your heart set on the idea. It looks like the “original” came in a box (pictured under the invite)

Kraft paper could be an alternative?

If your wedding is April 1, I would send out invitiations ASAP…

You can always incorporate burlap other places in your wedding instead of the invitation. Doesn’t seem like the best place, and you are running short on time.

I’m not sure what problem you are having cutting the burlap to size.

Do you have your paper invitations done already? Or are you certain they will be 6″x7″?

If you want to cut the burlap in half, the invitations can only be 6″tall. If you want the rectangle shape as in the pic, they woud be 4″ wide.

You would need to cut your piece  11  inches long.

3″ to fold over on the left, 4 inches to go behind the invitation,  three inches to fold over on the right and one inch to fold under on the right.

PM me if I can be of any further help.

we did burlap bands instead of a folder and they worked well and weren’t too complicted to put together.
