So I’m having trouble,..I really wanted sparklers for our grand exit but there is a burn ban in Texas and its a no go:(
Does anyone know of unique exits…no bubbles or rice.
Thanks!

I love the lantern idea. Also, check out the cute little DIY flags this couple made:
Don’t fret, sparklers are far from unique anyways (way more popular than bubbles and rice nowadays). Everyone does them.
I love the lantern idea above. I also love streamers on sticks, which I have seen a couple of times around the board.
@Cmcrca110713: We created a lit pathway with solar lights and jars covered with colorful tissue paper in our wedding colors.
I don’t understand the suggestion of release lanterns during a burn ban. Don’t they require being lit outside and um, fire?! I understand they’re propelled upwards once released but it sounds altogether too risky for a burn ban.
if sparklers are not allowed the laterns are definite no bc they really ate so dangerous.
I don’t have any ideas but I wouldn’t be disappointed about sparklers – everyone does them now and honestly, from what I’ve seen, they’re rarely executed the way you envision in your head.
You definitely will not be able to use lanterns if there is a burn ban. Those are even more dangerous than sparklers. I went to a wedding where the guests threw flower petals. I thought it was kind of neat!
We can’t do lanters due to the fire hazard. Plus, my venue is located in Austin, TX where the wind would probably ruin the effect of executing the lantern idea properly.
Thanks for some of the suggestions. I’m still unsure…
Don’t fret! Sparklers are a HOT MESS! A wedding I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man in did them, NOTHING but smoke and hot sparks everywhere!!! What about fresh flower pedals in cute DIY paper cones?
We are releasing butterflies instead of doing the rice or bubbles.
I love the LED candle idea but I’m almost thinking that could get expensive fast…
What do y’all think about glow sticks? Is that too laid back for a rustic country wedding?

Biodegradable confetti?
