I needed to share with someone!!
My fiance is a journeyman electrician, he by no way makes a poor living. We are paying for our own wedding trying to save up to buy a home and trying to budget for kids in the near future. 6 months ago Fiance started applying at different mines all over canada. He just got the call from a diamond mine in canada and will be getting a new job that will pay twice his income. Its such a blessing for our new family! I am sick and i have to take a lot of time off and him getting the oppertunity to work for a great mine, at a great wage and wonderful hours! 2 weeks at the mine 2 weeks home is going to change our lives. ! We will be able to achieve our goals much quicker and i can start to work towards my goal to go back to school. I am just so happy right now. I realize the time apart will take some getting use to but he is such a great worker and he is just so thrilled. ! What a wonderful monday. xox thanks for listening bee’s!

So glad this happened for you!
You’re being such a great sport about the time apart! When my Fiance got a new job that meant longer hours apart, I tried to keep my chin up in front of him, but I confess I had a hard time being okay with it in private. But I’ve gotten used to it. You’re really keeping it in perspective.
Hope this is the first of many wonderful things for you!

Thank you everyone for your kind words!! I am really just so happy. He will be working at a mine 300 km past yellow knife. Its a diamond mine. We have been together for 6 years, getting married this october. Durring our dating life he has been gone for long spans of time. He used to work 14 on 3 off. So this new job 14 days there 14 days home at double his current pay is a blessing. I am optimistic that we will do well with this arrangement and your words of kindness were much appreciated!!
@ProfessorGirl: How long as your FI/husband worked out of town for?
