I thought about bustling them before but ended up not doing it.  It didn’t seem like it was in the way, and I wanted it down for some of the shots we took right after the FL anyway.

I left the bustle undone for the first look – I wanted him to see how the whole look was put together!  We also went straight into our bride/groom photos and I knew I wanted some photos with my train out. Food for thought!

I don’t know about your schedule but I went straight from getting dressed to first look and then immediately to a few photos before the ceremony. I honestly would not have had the time to bustle and then unbustle my dress prior to photos.

I would leave it unbustled. You want your Fiance to see the full impact of you and the dress and that includes the gorgeous train on your dress. Plus the first look is pretty brief, I doubt it will really get in the way.

I had my dress bustled for our first look and all the pictures before the ceremony.  Then I unbustled it before the ceremony and left it that way for a few pictures, and put it back up for the reception.

Our wedding was outdoors so it was so much easier to not deal with it walking around out there.  Then he got to see the whole thing when I came walking out with my dad.

Either way it’s up to you – it was something I hadn’t even thought of, but it worked out really well for me.
