Thanks for all the compliments on mine! It cost an arm and a leg so every time there’s a post about bustles I post it to show it off, haha!! 😉

Mine was bustled in two layers: the satin underlay of my dress and then the alencon lace layer. It gave it a lighter, more transparent look than bustling both layers together.

You can see mine in the mirror in this photo!  It’s only pinned so it’s not perfect, but it’s a 13 point (yes, my Maid/Matron of Honor hates me) ballroom bustle…or at least that’s what I was told lol.

I tried a couple different ways. My train is my favorite part of me dress so I still wanted to show it off with the bustle. The picture is just pinned. The seamstress said it will lay flatter when it is sewed. It is a european or cascade bustle.

@KansasPrincess11: LOVE this bustle! I’ve been having the toughest time finding a lace dress bustle that I like.

Everyone else’s bustles make me feel like mine is BORING!

@parasol:  I took your photo with me to my fitting to ask if they could do your bustle, and of course, they were like, that doesn’t work with your dress, we can’t do that, wah wah wah.  Was your dress pleated like that or is that part of the bustle?  It’s ADORABLE.
